Having won the Coupe Du Monde De La Patisserie in 2019 (World Pastry Cup 2019), they have shown that their tireless hours of practicing, honing and perfecting their craft have paid off in putting Malaysia on the map of the world of pastries and certifying them as some of the best pastry chefs in the world. One half of this dynamic duo, Chef Loi Ming Ai's humble beginnings came from a small local pastry shop, but has moved on to be one of the best pastry chefs in the world, having won the Coupe Du Monde De La Patisserie in 2019 (World Pastry Cup 2019). His talents specialize in sculpturing, a result of his keen interest in clay sculptures and tutorial sculpture videos, and the craft of frozen desserts.
Since then, Chef Loi has expanded his experience to all around the world. He often passes his learnings and wisdoms to younger aspiring pastry chefs while conducting masterclasses and consultation locally and internationally. His favourite thing about pastry making is the different interpretations of desserts that come from each country's cultures, flavours and food habits, and that no matter where you're from, you'll always have time for a sweet treat. He hopes that in experiencing his creations, all his favourite things about pastry making will become yours too.
The designer, the artist - Chef Otto Tay revels in creating new flavours, specialties and designs. His passion for beautiful, dainty confectioneries took him all the way to the championships at the Coupe Du Monde De La Patisserie in 2019 (World Pastry Cup 2019), enable him to achieve a lifelong dream with his winning dessert 'La Floraison', which he successfully made 100% vegan.
Coming from Muar, a small historical town in Southern Peninsular Malaysia, his love for buns over rice even from childhood led him to build a career in pastry making, honing his skills through many different experiences all over the world. He now brings his wealth of adventures and experiences to other young aspiring chefs, conducting masterclasses and providing consultation locally and internationally. Chef Otto's creations are truly a feast for the eyes, for the taste and for the soul.
